1. I have weird phobias.

I’m not afraid of the dark, heights, animals (though I kind of hate wild animals. All of them.) or anything like that.

However, I get completely freaked out by raised surfaces— like certain textures. I get so creeped out. I used to hate it when back in the day, those shearling coats had that raised, bubbled sheep’s wool on the color. UGH! HATE IT! The thing is, I always imagine what my skin would look and feel like if it suddenly caught some skin disease that made it bubble and blister into some strange pattern. On the tumblr dash Homepage or whatever it’s called, there’s a photo of what looks like crossed legs with the feet severed and the feathered texture is freaking me out. I get the inner wigglies when I see that and it makes me want to take a shower and Clarisonic and steel wool my entire body just to make sure everything stays smooth.

There was a show called “weird things that people have”—- okay, it wasn’t called that. But there was a guy on it who was turning into a tree? or something. I can’t remember because I never watched that shit. I will watch all manners of grossness and disgust. Blood and vomit don’t bother me. They aren’t my favorite things. LIke I”m not going to sit in a chair with some popcorn watching vomit but I don’t really mind it all that much. Bu show me a rash and it’s over. And apparently, the guy turning into a tree or what have you had some warts that were shaped like tree bark????

And it’s not even about scarring (well, not keloids that hang from people’s necks)  I’m okay with scars. It’s a skin thing. A kid in Girl Scout camp got really bad poison ivy and it was oozing and I bubbling and I legit called my dad and told him to come get me.

Ugh. I can’t. I need to go shower.
